Moviemappr Google Maps where movies were filmed
MovieMappr is a new mashup that combines Google Maps with the geographic locations of where movies were filmed. Currently it maps cities and towns in the US and Canada, with a surprising amount of movies listed! For major US cities, there are even locations marked around the city itself.
For example, in San Francisco you can find all movies shot at the famous Palace of Fine Arts. Over in Chicago, you'll learn that Ferris Bueller's Day off was filmed at the Art Institute of Chicago. It has a permalink feature (which I used to point you to these previous locations) as well as an email-send function. Be a bit patient with the lists and map loading but your patience is rewarded with lots of locations to browse. MovieMappr is a great maps mashup for film enthusiasts or tourists visiting a city that want to "movie sightsee"!
