Google Maps Virtual Weekend Breaks

Last Saturday Google Maps Mania posted a virtual 3D Tour of Tokyo. The post proved quite popular, so this week I thought I'd point you towards two other virtual weekend breaks - Budapest and Rome.

Budapest

EarthSwoop have a large collection of Google Earth Browser plug-in tours. One of my favourites is this tour of Budapest. The tour includes the 3D buildings of the Buda Castle, Heroes Square, the Saint Stephen's Basilica and many more of Budapest's wondrous sights.

Rome
Colosseum 3D model
This tour of the buildings of Rome takes in the Colosseum, The Vatican, the Trevi Fountain and all your other favourite sights.

Both of these 3D tours use the Google Earth Browser plug-in and at the moment only work in Windows.
