Showing Poll Results on Google Maps

OKCupid

It isn't often that we get to feature the Google Chart API on Google Maps Mania but OKCupid, the online dating website, has been using the API to present the results of a number of polls taken by their members. The results are mainly presented with the map chart type and plot the results of some interesting questions.

Some of the questions were responded to by over a half a million people across the USA, which is quite a substantial sample. However, it is important to remember that the sample is of one website's users so can not be assumed to be representative of the general population.

Most of the questions asked are in the form of ethical choices, for example, 'Are some human life's worth more than others'? The results are presented state by state and do show some interesting divergences by geographical location.
