Auto-Repair Call Outs on Google Maps

Falck-rapporten

Danish call out auto-repair service Falck have produced a Google Map to show the number and location of cars that they have been called out to repair.

It is possible to load data for any day by using a very slick calendar date picker. Then, for any day's results, you can refine the search by the type of service provided, e.g. fixed on the spot or towed to a garage. The small graphs in the map sidebar show the distribution of particular call-outs through the day.

This is a great example of how Google Maps can be successfully used to promote a service. The map could even have a far more serious purpose for Falck in helping them decide, from the geographical distribution of break downs, where they need to locate their centres.
