The World's Worst Air Pollution


China is the country with the worst air pollution in the world. However the average air pollution in China pales into insignificance compared to the air pollution of New Delhi, the city with the worst global air pollution.

You can compare your country and city's air pollution to these two extremes on a new Pollution Map from Yale University. This visualization of the world's air pollution uses data from WHO's Ambient Air Pollution database (city level) and the 2014 Environmental Performance Index (EPI) (country level) to show the air pollution in each country in the world and in a number of the world's largest cities.
