WXTiles is an API providing free weather forecast overlays for use with Google Maps and OpenLayers. The overlays all use data sourced from NOAA.
The forecast layers available are:
- Precipitation and Mean Sea Level Pressure
- Winds (at 10m elevation)
- Air temperature Wave height (significant)
- Wave period (peak spectral period)
- Cloud view (based on infra-red temperatures)
- Enhanced infra-red view
- Visible
