The Daily Telegraph has used data from the Global Terrorism Database, to create a Google Map of the most high profile terror attacks by al-Qaeda, Islamist and Islamic terrorist groups since 9/11.
The map charts Islamist terrorist attacks, starting from 9/11 through to the recent machete attack on a British soldier in Woolwich London. The Telegraph Map provides a heat map that displays the number of deaths suffered by individual countries around the world.
