A New York Times interactive,
A Nation of Wineries, shows how America's wine industry has grown since 1937.
California still dominates the USA's wine production, however wineries now exist in all 50 states. The New York Times map allows the user to view a timeline of the growth of America's wineries over the years. If you select '2013' on the timeline you can click on any state on the map to view the location of that state's wineries.
When you click on the map it transforms into a Google Map displaying all the local vineyards and wineries. Users can pan the map to other locations or switch back to the New York Times map to select another state.
