360Cities Adds Google Earth Browser

360 Cities
360 Cities has always used Google Maps to help users navigate its over 8000 interactive panoramas now it is also experimenting with showing panoramas alongside a Google Earth browser plug-in view of the same location.

The results are pretty amazing. Just watch the screencast below.

The screencast really doesn't do 360 Cities justice (I've only captured half the screen and the screencast has made the movement look more jerky than it really is) but it does give you good idea of how the Google Earth browser is being used. Basically when you navigate around the 360 Cities interactive panorama the Google Earth browser view changes to reflect the view of the panorama. At which point you are liable to fall of your chair in amazement.

Now go play!
