The American Red Cross are working to provide a number of shelters for those affected by Hurricane Ike. Working with the Red Cross, Google have mapped the open American Red Cross Shelters in the states of Texas and Louisiana. These locations, updated every ten minutes, are available to view in Google Earth, or via Google Maps:
