An Effing Google Maps Mashup
Effing Music
This Google Map uses the Bandloop API to show upcoming gigs at venues throughout the world. To search for upcoming concerts you simply add your location and a date range and Effing Music produces a map of all the nearby shows.
My favourite feature of this map is that, thanks to a SeeqPod embedded player, you can actually listen to the bands. Therefore if you find a gig of a band you haven't heard of you can check out their sound before booking tickets.
Oh, you can use the site to book tickets as well.
