More than 500 Appalachian Mountains have been destroyed by mountaintop removal mining. America's Most Endangered Mountains is a Google Map mashup designed to inspire people to help protect the Appalachian mountains.
The map features a number of informative videos by community members who explain how mountaintop removal is threatening their way of life. You can view all the videos directly on the map by clicking on a map marker. The information windows contain the video and detailed information about those featured in the video.
