Mapping the Greasy Spoon
If there is one thing the English like more than a plate of greasy spoon then it is a cafe that sells plates of greasy food.
I Fancy a Fry-Up is a Google Map showing the locations of traditional British cafes or 'greasy spoons'. Click through on a cafe's marker and you can read a description of the cafe and information about the opening hours, menu and the facilities provided.
Users can submit the location and details about a cafe to the map. I Fancy a Fry-Up also includes the option to download the location of the cafes listed as a satnav file.
Flavortown USA is a Google Map of the diners visited by Guy Fieri on the Food Network's 'Diner's Drive-Ins and Dives'. It is a great resource for finding traditional American diners.
Users can search the map by address or zip code to find the 25 closest diners. The diners, drive-ins and dives are then displayed on the map and also listed beneath the map. The list view indicates how far each venue is from the searched location.
You can click through to read details about each listed diner and to read reviews and comments submitted by readers of Flavortown USA.
