The home page for Hasbro's on-line Google Maps based game of Monopoly says that the game will be starting tomorrow. The official blog for the game also says to keep an eye out today for a Google SketchUp competition.
The SketchUp competition involves designing new buildings for the game.

it does say on http://www.monopolycitystreets.com/ that the game will launch "on the 9th september"...

Great, I think it’s a great idea. I always loved to play Monopoly when I was a kid and would love to try in online.
