Mexico Gets Street View

Street View imagery for Mexico has today been added to Google Maps. Street View is available for now in Monterrey, Guadalajara, Mexico City, Puerto Vallarta , Playa del Carmen, Cozumel and Cancun.

It also seems that Street View coverage in the Netherlands has been expanded. Utrecht, Den Haag, Eindhoven, Den Bosch, Tilburg and Leeuwarden have all now got Street View imagery (adding to the previous coverage of Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Groningen).

In the USA Street View also finally arrives in Hawaii.

Last, but not least, there has been a huge update to Street View in Spain, which now has almost blanket coverage.

When did the government of Mexico allow this, and why wasn't it on the news? If all of our country is photographed, isn't this a weakness to our national security? By the way, I'm not a fan of the Patriot Act at all.

It may be thread to national secrity but it is also big + when you need to check out something. When I did hitchhiking and it was really useful to check if there is a hitchiking spot in some city on some place.
