Esri's Online Cartography Course

On April 1st while I was perusing the David Rumsey Map Collection I stumbled upon Bancrofts' Pictorial Chart of Geographical Definition. In a senior moment I somehow imagined that the chart was an entrance exam for Esri's new Cartography MOOC. It is no such thing.

Esri's Cartography MOOC has no entrance exam. In fact this free online course has no entrance requirements and is open to anyone who is interested in learning about map making from some of the world's leading cartographers. The course starts on April 18, 2018 and registration is now open.

Participants on the course will:

• Experience firsthand the advanced cartographic design capabilities of ArcGIS Pro. 
• Learn to author beautiful and effective information products with GIS and publish them online. 
• Use modern GIS technology to gain the hands-on experience employers seek.
