North and South Korea Tensions Mapped

The Guardian's North Korea v South Korea Incident Map shows the location of over 150 incidents between the two countries since the Korean War in 1950.

The map covers every incident between the two countries, from diplomatic hostilities, through to more serious incidents involving fatalities. The map allows the user to view all the incidents in one or to filter the results by decade. The white markers indicate diplomatic or non-military incidents and the red markers display those incidents involving the military.

The map is part of The Guardian's Data Blog which means all the data has been made available to download. So if you think you can create a better visualisation of the data you are free to try.
