New Google Maps US Zip Code Mashups and Tools

Map helps you see neighoring zip codes - Maps.Huge.Info has long had a great list of Google Maps based boundary and zip code tools. Geo Developer John Coryat has informed me that he has improved his zip code map to use a custom tile layer which covers the US from zoom level 5 to 17 with potentially millions of tiles. When you search a zip code you see all other zip codes close by - give it a try!

County and Zip code Boundary Maps - Here is another zip code mashup of census.gov data and the Google Maps API (V.2.57) that lets you enter a zip code and plot the county lines that zip belongs to and also the zip code boundary. There is no restriction on the number of hits/second on this so have at it. Also, the polyline XML files are available for download for any given zip code.

I wish a Google zip code mashup could be integrated into my Microsoft outlook contacts database so that when I travel to a meeting in a new city (identified by zip code), I can pull up google map that overlays all of my contacts who live/work in the surrounding 50 mile radius. Does this exist? Are there barriers to creating such a map?

I am looking to lookup numbers from a database indexed by zipcode and display different colors based on number ranges. I would prefer to even go further down to voting precincts. How can I do this and is there data to show voting precincts by color just like the zipcodes above (or alternatively, 9 digit zipcodes)? I'm a coder, BTW.

I'm looking for a tool to make an image in which a map of the U.S. has specific area codes colored in with specific colors, as chosen by me. i.e. 150 richest neighborhoods contrasted with 150 poorest neighborhoods. Does this exist?

I am looking to input a number of zip codes (my user base) and see where in the country they are concentrated (color mapping by density of users or density by population)
I am not a programmer, btw

thanks!

For heat mapping try:

This was great, but didn't allow (or I couldn't figure out how to) for showing the density of people in my sample in each zip code. Any way to make the pins larger or smaller accordingly, or to add a density number on top of the map it generates? Thanks.

I would like to work with the developer to get this added as a mashup on google maps when you do a search...please respond to this post

@anonymous - there are contact details on the website if you wish to get in touch with the developers.

Wonderful site! Anyone have good suggestions on going about mapping our local voting precincts? If there is already open source stuff available that would be awesome!

I am trying to create "exclusive" regions by zip code for all of my clients. If a client "owns" a given zip code, we cannot market into those zips on behalf of our other clients. Is there a way to manage these zips by client in a layer of google maps by color or layer?
