Sport Participation Data on Google Maps
The Sport and Recreation Participation Map from the University of Ballarat and Victoria University allows users to explore data about sport and recreational participation across Australia. The map allows users to explore 10 years of ERASS (Exercise, Recreation and Sport Survey ) data. About 15,000-20,000 people are surveyed each year for ERASS.
It is possible to select regions on the map to view summary information for different sports, by year, region group and question. A number of map filters enable the user to display data by a particular sport, by age group and by sport participation frequency
The map also includes options to view a number of different overlays on the map to view separate data sources such as Socio-Economic Indexes for Areas (SEFIA) indexes.
