Micro-Financing on Google Maps
Kiva is a person-to-person micro-lending website helping individuals to lend directly to entrepreneurs in the developing world. Using Kiva individuals and groups can make a loan and help a real person make great strides towards economic independence and an improved life for themselves, their family, and their community.
The Kiva Loan Map allows you to visualise the last ten loans made via Kiva on a Google Map. Ten recent loan transactions are listed below the map. If you select one of the transactions a line connecting two markers appears on the map, showing who made a loan and to whom. You can click on the markers to learn a little more about why the loan was requested.
