Aligning Satellites with Google Maps

DishPointer is a Google Maps mashup which lets you align your satellite dish by providing visual clues on an actual satellite image of your house. The site first featured on Google Maps Mania over two years ago and over the years has helped thousands of people correctly align their satellite dishes.

Recently DishPointer launched a really useful Augmented Reality application, first for the iPhone and a few days ago for Android phones. The augmented reality applications allow the user to align their satellite from a real world view as seen through their phone's screen.
