Google has introduced an amazing new Photo Tours feature on Google Maps. When you use the WebGL version of Google Maps (try it in Chrome) you can view some amazing Photo Tours of famous locations around the world.
Photo Tours are available for more than 15,000 popular sites around the world, try
St. Mark’s Basilica in Italy or the
Half Dome in Yosemite. When available a link to the photo tour will appear in the left side-panel. Alternatively, if you’re browsing the map and click on the label
for a particular landmark, the info window that appears will indicate if
a photo tour is available.
This map shows the locations of all the currently available Photo Tours.
