The Hobgoblin Twitter Map

The UK's Wychwood Brewery are using the Google Maps API to help promote its Hobgoblin ale. Throughout February and March the brewery is carrying out a Bringing Taste to the Nation tour, where it will be driving around the country providing opportunities for beer lovers to taste test its famous Hobgoblin beer.

The tour map shows the locations on the tour and also displays Tweets including the hashtag #Goblineers. The map will display Twitter messages from drinkers at locations across the UK, providing a record of the obscure locations where Hobgoblin has been consumed.

The promotional campaign also provides Hobgoblin drinkers with the chance to win a year’s supply of the beer. As well as Tweeting their drinking locations customers are being encouraged to record a 30 second Hobgoblin beer tasting note. The best individual tasting note, the finest group tasting note and the tasting note filmed in the most 'legendary' location will receive a year's supply of Hobgoblin.
