Google Maps Lands on the Moon & Mars

Google Maps now lets you explore the Moon and Mars. To visit either the Moon or Mars open the new look Google Maps and to switch to 'Earth' (or satellite view) and zoom out on the map until you see the whole globe. The Moon and Mars should now appear as options at the bottom of your screen.

If you are finding it difficult to find the Moon or Mars then try these direct links - Moon & Mars.

Both the Moon and the Mars maps have dynamic links so you can cut & paste the address in your browser's address bar to share links to your favorite locations on either the Moon or the red planet. For example here's a link to land where Neil Armstrong first stepped on the Moon.

Here's where the Mars Curiosity landed in Gales's Crater (Aeolis Mons).
