Stopping the Coal Rush Google Map

Sierra Club Coal Map

More than one hundred coal-fired power plants are currently proposed to be built in the USA. The Sierra Club argue that, if built, the resulting "global warming pollution pumped into our air will make all our other efforts to reverse climate change irrelevant."

As part of a campaign to stop the power plants being built Sierra Club have created this Google Maps mashup showing the location of the proposed coal-fired plants across the United States. Clicking on any of the map markers opens a 'light box' style information window with details about that proposed plant.
