The US Elections - What the World Thinks
The Guardian newspaper asked people across the world how they felt about the re-election of President Obama. They then used the Google Maps API to map their readers' responses.
The Guardian's Global Reactions Map uses three different colored map markers to show if responses are positive, negative or indifferent. Interestingly the negative responses seem mostly confined to the U.S. itself and the rest of the world seem to be much more happy about the outcome of the election.
If you click on any of the markers you can read the responses left by The Guardian's readers. In looking at the results it must be noted that in terms of U.S. politics The Guardian would be viewed as a left-leaning newspaper. The responses therefore are probably biased towards the views of their readers.
