MapIT Minneapolis, the city's enterprise mapping platform, has released a map that allows you to compare historical aerial imagery of Minneapolis with aerial imagery of the city today. The
Comparison of Current vs. Historical Imagery map provides a side-by-side comparison of 1938 aerial imagery and more recent aerial imagery from 2011-2012.
The map uses the
Esri Story Map Swipe tool, which allows you to swipe between the two map layers. This means that you can swipe back and forth between the two sets of aerial imagery and compare the city of 1938 with the city today.
