The Search for a Labour Leader
The election for a new Labour Party leader in the UK is over. The results of the election will be announced tomorrow. However, if Google search data is any guide, the clear winner will be Jeremy Corbyn.
The Most Searched Labour Leadership Candidate on Google map shows the top candidate in each election constituency ward searched for on Google during June to August 2015. Each ward is coloured on the map to indicate the most searched for candidate. You can also click on a constituency on the map to reveal the most searched for candidate.
The opinion polls are all pointing to a win for Jeremy Corbyn and this map of Google search trends seems to support that prediction.
If you want to create your own map of Google search trends then you should have a look at the available data on the new Google Trends Datastore.
