Weather Overlays for Google Maps

WXTiles is an API providing free weather forecast overlays for use with Google Maps and OpenLayers. The overlays all use data sourced from NOAA.

The forecast layers available are:

1. Precipitation and Mean Sea Level Pressure 
2. Winds (at 10m elevation) 
3. Air temperature Wave height (significant) 
4. Wave period (peak spectral period)

Three satellite layers are also available in the API:

1. Cloud view (based on infra-red temperatures) 
2. Enhanced infra-red view 
3. Visible
