Star Viewer

The DECam Legacy Survey has released a map of the universe constructed from images captured by the Dark Energy Camera on the Blanco Telescope.

Sky Viewer is powered by the Leaflet mapping library and includes five main map views. These include false-color images and theoretical models. The map also includes a Dust IR Emission layer showing dust emissions in the Milky Way.

If you need a little help navigating around the universe you can turn on the NGC layer, which shows the location of star clusters, nebulae, and galaxies from the New General Catalogue.
