Mapping Toxic Dumping in the Med
in.fondo.al.mar claims that over the last 30 years there has been a series of sinking incidents involving ships suspected of having carried toxic and radioactive waste the Mediterranean Sea.
Using the Google Maps API in.fondo.al.mar has mapped a number of what it thinks are suspicious sinkings in the Mediterranean. By mapping the incidents they hope to be able to "identify analogies in the locations and modalities of the incidents, in the declared cargoes and in the routes, the ports of arrival and departure of the suspected ships."
