Israel Under Water on Google Maps
The Hebrew University of Jerusalem has released a flood risk map to assess the risk of rising sea-level and extreme coastal flooding in Israel.
Dynamic Mapping of the Israeli Coastline displays an assessment of population and assets at risk from flooding along the coast of Israel. The map is divided into three different categories: Socio-economic Vulnerability, Population at Risk, and Assets Value. Users can adjust the flood level using a sea-level slider tool and view the results directly on the map.
By clicking on the potentially flooded areas users can also generate corresponding national and municipal level assessments in the form of graphs and charts, generated by the Google Chart API
