Google's 360 degree user submitted photos (Photospheres) are becoming more and more popular. For Google Maps API developers they are a great resource for adding panoramic imagery in locations where Street View doesn't yet exist.
To add a Photosphere using the maps API Street View service all you need to do is grab the PanoID of the Photosphere that you wish to use. I've put together a very small demo image gallery of some great Phtospheres submitted in a few different countries.
To make the demo a little more interesting I've also used Gradientmaps.js to add some image processing to the Photospheres.
