Here's one of those ideas that seemed brilliant at 3 o'clock in the morning but which seemed a little stupid in the cold light of day.
Last night I quickly knocked together this Street View GPS Simulator. The simulator uses Google Maps Street View with the Web Speech API to try and replicate the annoying experience of driving with a GPS navigation device.
I had intended to improve it a little today but it now seems too silly to bother with any more. However in case anyone does want to have a play here's the link (bugs and all) - Street View GPS Simulator. The Web Speech API isn't supported by too many browsers so it will probably only work in Chrome.
