25 Cities

There are now two games available:
How well do you know the United States? I bet you know where America's 25 largest cities are - don't you?

In my new geography map game 25 Cities all you have to do is identify the locations of America's largest 25 cities by clicking on an interactive map. However you only have 1000 miles to play with, and the distances you get wrong in each round will be deducted from your total. When your remaining miles reach zero the game is over! So how many US cities can you locate before you run out of miles?

Oh - and just to make things a little more difficult there are no city place-labels on the game map.

The size of cities is one of those nebulous geographical questions, which largely depend on your definitions of size and city boundaries. For the purpose of this game I simply deferred to World Population Reviews' list of The 300 Largest Cities in the USA by Population 2024.

I was inspired to create 25 Cities by Buzzfeed's Ludicrously Difficult UK Football Stadium Quiz. This game requires you to point to the locations of UK football team stadiums. The game includes a mileage display which I decided to replicate for my new 25 Cities game. I actually discovered Buzzfeed's game from a GeoWizard YouTube video I watched over the weekend, in which he attempts to name all 25 stadiums named in the 5 levels of the Buzzfeed game.

I've now added a US version of the UK Football Stadium Quiz. My US Football Stadium Quiz requires you to locate the 19 football stadiums in the US with a capacity over 80,000. The list of stadiums comes from Wikipedia's List of American Football Stadiums by Capacity.
