600 Films in Paris

Carte : Rue par Rue is a Google Map showing the shooting locations of over 600 movies shot in Paris.

The map is a really nice example of how Google Fusion Tables can be used to not only map geo-tagged data but can also provide powerful tools which allow users to query the data. The map allows you to refine the films shown on the map by the date of release. You can query the map for individual films, individual actors and by director. You can also refine the movies shown by French films, foreign films and co-productions.

It would be nice if the map also provided a heat-map view so that you could visualize the most popular filming locations in the city. The map does seem to show clusters around the Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower and the Sacré Cœur. A heat map layer would allow you to identify the more popular filming locations a little more easily.
