Viewing Baseball Games on Google Maps

MLB Hit Locations Map

Indiemaps.com has produced a system to visualise Major League Baseball hit locations directly onto Google Maps. This means they can show the hits from a game on a Google Map satellite view of the actual baseball stadium.

They can also take the same data and show how the hits would look if the game had taken place elsewhere, for example at the Dupont Circle in Washington.

The maps load hit location data of the game from MLB Gameday. The table next to the map shows the same data and allows the user to select balls-in-play. Here's a link to view the map produced for Mark Buehrle's perfect pitch game.
