India Street View Arrives, But Not on Google

Google has begun the process of capturing Street View imagery in India. It should appear on Google Maps later this year or early next year. However If you can't wait until then you can check out Indian mapping service Wonobo, which has stolen a march on Google by releasing its own Street View type service this week.

Wonobo currently has panoramic interactive imagery for a number of Indian cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Banglore, Chennai, Hyderbad, some of the gorgeous (and not so gorgeous beaches) in Goa, Pune, Ahmedabad, Agra, Jaipur and Surat.

If you want to venture further north Chinese search engine SOSO has an online mapping service that provides Street View for a number of locations, including Tibet.

SOSO has Street View type imagery available in the Tibetan capital of Lhasa and in some of the surrounding area.
