Gothamist has created an interesting Google Map to help New Yorkers find global cuisine on their doorstep. Using records from the Department of Health the map shows the density of New York City's restaurants by type of cuisine.
The NYC Eating Map allows users to select a type of restaurant from a drop-down menu and visualize on the map where these types of restaurant are clustered in New York City. For example, if you fancy a Greek meal the map reveals that Ditmars is the place to head with 15 Greek restaurants in the neighborhood.
