Airborne is a WebGL globe visualization of worldwide flights. The visualization includes controls to adjust the size of the plane sprite size and the opacity of the flight paths. The globe provides a great visualization of worldwide flight patterns.
If you want to have a closer look at flight patterns then you should also check out the videos created by NATS, the main air navigation service provider in the United Kingdom. They recently released videos of flight visualizations of Europe 24 (24 European air traffic), North Atlantic Skies (air traffic between North America and Europe) and UK 24 (24 hours of UK traffic).
